Deiva Thirumagal Selected in Asia Pacific Awards 2011

Chiyaan Vikram in 'Deiva Thirumagal’ has been getting rave reviews and the film is still running to packed houses in theatres around the globe. The makers of the film are all elated about the result and response the film has been getting since its release.

The makers have now one more reason to delight as the film has been selected to get participated in the competition as India’s only entry in the Asia-Pacific Awards function that will be held in Brisbane, Australia. Members of the film who are all involved in the success of the film are very much excited on this news.

The film’s music director G.V.Prakash Kumar and UTV Dhananjayan Govind also in a micro-blogging site expressed his excitement saying, “Deiva Thirumagal has been selected and nominated as India’s entry for Asia Pacific Awards to be held at Brisbane, by Film Federation of India (FFI) & NFDC. I’m excited about it”

Vikram’s funky do

It’s all about the look for any hero. Hence most heroes love to experiment with new looks in every film they do. And Vikram is no exception to this. If he lost more than 10 kgs for his role as an adult with low mental IQ in his latest release, he’s now gone in for a completely different look for his current film, Raja Pattai.

According to sources, Vikram took off on a one-month holiday to get back the weight that he lost. “He binged but carefully,” says a source. In Raja Paattai, he plays the role of a gym boy and had to beef up. But what else is new for his look in the film is the hairstyle and beard! The source adds, “Vikram has a funky beard in the film and it’s colourful!” With him taking on the role of a gym boy, looks like he’ll be playing a guy who’s not just into fitness but also the one with a colourful groovy look. According to the source, the hairstyles of Vikram and his gang of boys is something to watch out for in this upcoming flick.

Chiyaan Vikram reveals 'Rajapattai' secrets

Chiyaan Vikram is all set to repeat his 'Dhil', 'Dhool' and 'Saamy' act in 'Rajapattai', his next film, which is being directed by Suseenthiran. "It will be a complete commercial movie with a correct mix of all masala," he says.

"I am playing a gym instructor who has connections with the film industry. It is a very interesting script and I was totally impressed the moment Suseendran narrated it to me," says Chiyaan with hope.

Denying that he is doing a dual role in the movie, Vikram says, "Rajapattai will come with many surprises. I have toned my body for the role and the new look, I hope, it would be liked by one and all."

Simultaneously, Vikram will be working in 'Karikalan', a period film. It will be followed by two projects, one with 'Deiva Thirumagal' Vijay and the other with the actors close friend Dharani. "There will not be any gap hereafter," he concludes.
