Ai- Final schedule to start soon

Shankar’s magnum opus Ai’s shoot – starring Chiyaan Vikram and Amy Jackson is almost complete. A final song which will be the introduction song of Amy Jackson will be shot in Prasad studios in Chennai in the next few days. Actor Upen Patel will also be a part of it. With that, the shoot will come to an end. 

The post production work is also going on in parallel. The audio is expected to release later part of May. The movie is scheduled to release either in June or July. Meanwhile, the Telugu rights of Ai have gone for a record price. Both Shankar and Vikram have a very good market in Telugu.

Ai is one of the most anticipated Tamil movies of 2014, and has been in the making for almost 2 years. Nearly 50% of the movie was shot in exotic locales of China. It will be a grand visual treat in true Shankar’s style and is expected to satisfy Vikram’s fans as well.

Ai marching towards its final schedule!

Talks are on about making Ai’s audio launch, a grand affair. The latest update from the team is that the movie is marching towards the final schedule. A final song which is the introduction song of Amy Jackson will be shot in Prasad Studios in this schedule. As the film is almost complete, the post production work is making quick progress as well.

The production team is looking forward to release the audio and trailer in the last week of May. Ai directed by Shankar and starring Vikram in the lead, is one of the anticipated movies of 2014 and is expected to be a visual treat for fans.

Shankar's Ai Audio on May

Here’s an exciting development about Ai. After a blockbuster Kochadaiiyaan, Mozart of Madras AR Rahman’s next release will be Shankar’s Ai. If what we hear is right, the album will hit stores in the second or third week of May. The composer has delivered the master to Sony Music India, the label that holds the music rights for the movie.

Meanwhile, Shankar will be shooting a song sequence in Chennai featuring Upen Patel and Amy Jackson. With this schedule, the film's shooting is expected to be wrapped up.

Vikram and Amy Jackson play the lead in this mega budget entertainer, produced by Aascar Films. Ramkumar Ganesan, Upen Patel and Suresh Gopi play supporting roles.

National award winning choreographers join Ai

National award winning choreographer duo Bosco - Caesar has been roped in to Shankar's mega-budget flick Ai. Notable Bollywood choreographers Bosco Martis and Caesar Gonsalves have done choreography for over 200 songs and 75 films including 3 idiots, Love Aaj Kal and Jab We Met. Their foot-tapping number - 'Senorita' from the Hrithik Roshan starrer "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" fetched the duo their first national award 3 years back.

The surprise quotient for the film has been increasing every day with Shankar's handpicked choices for the film.

Ai's baddie has an intro song | DC

The hysteria associated with Shankar's magnum opus, Ai, starring Vikram and Amy Jackson, is gaining momentum by the day. The latest we hear is that the much awaited project from the successful combo will have an intro song sans the hero. Sources say that the song would feature heroine Amy Jackson and Upen Patel, who plays the baddie in the movie. Upen is a name to reckon with in B-Town, thanks to the macho characters he enacted there with ease.

Rumours are rife that both Amy Jackson and Upen Patel essay the role of models in the film and that the song will throw light on the modeling industry. it was also heard that Shankar will be shooting this song soon in Chennai and huge sets have been erected for it.

The high-budjet flick which have Vikram in several avatars and songs scored by A.R.Rahman are likely to hit the screens this year.

Samantha to pair up with Vikram ?

We hear that Samantha has been approached to play the lead in cinematographer-director Vijay Milton’s film with Vikram. While the actress is yet to sign on the dotted line, we are told she has verbally expressed her consent to star in the project.

While Vijay Milton is hesitant to divulge details, he tells us, “I will be narrating the script to Samantha in the coming week.” A source close to the actress, however, tells us that she has agreed in principle to be part of the film.

Interestingly, at the time of Goli Soda’s release, Samantha had tweeted about how she liked the film, and praised the performance of one of the actresses in the film.

While Vikram has completed his film with Ai, and is getting back in shape for his other projects, Samantha is busy with Vijay’s Kaththi and Suriya’s Anjaan in Kollywood.

Looks like Samantha has become the toast of K'tow. the demure beauty's kitty is full with four films in Tamil and Telugu, including Anjaan with Suriya and Kaththi with Vijay. Now, the buzz is that sam has been roped in by Vijay Milton, the cinematographer turned filmmaker, for his upcoming movie which is yet to be titled. Samantha will be romancing Vikram in the movie which is road travel genre.

AR Murugadoss will be producing it under his home banner. After eyeing some of the biggies, Milton felt Samantha would fit the bubbly role and that Chiyaan and Sam would make a fresh looking pair. Yet another reason attributed to bring Sam on board was that the ravishing actress is presently acting in ARM's Kaththi. Hence, it became easier for the Ghajini filmmaker to bahg her for his next as well.

Sources say that the film will go on the floors in June, and by that time, the Naan Ee girl will complete her earlier commitments. Vikram wrapped up his magnum opus, Ai, with Shankar recently. The actress who was once considered jinxed in the Tamil Industry is apparently the most sought after girl now.

Ai’s audio launch to be held in Canada? | TOI

While we have reliably learnt that Ai’s makers are trying to rope in Arnold Schwarzenegger for its audio launch, our source tells us that there has been no confirmation yet from the actor.

The source adds, “There’s also talk that Ai’s audio launch might take place in Canada and hence they’re trying to pull in a big US star.”

As to the release date of the film that has been in the making for almost two years now, he says, “There is still one song to be shot with Upen Patel and Amy Jackson, the shoot for which will begin from April 15 in Chennai. There’s a good chance that the film might release sometime in June.”

Arnold to be a part of Ai?

There is already a huge buzz in K'Town that of Shankar's film, Ai, Aascar Ravichandran, is planning a grand audio launch. Now, Sources say that Arnold Schwarznegger, the Hollywood Superstar, is likely to be the Cheif guest at the function. Aascar Ravichandran had earlier roped in Jackie Chan as cheif guest for the audio funcion of Kamal Haasan's Dasavatharam.

Though there is no official confirmation on it, the makers of the film have felt that it would be apt to have Schwarzenegger as cheif guest as the film releated to body-building.

The music of the film is composed by A.R. Rahman and cinematography is P.C Sreeram. Amy Jackson, Santhanam, Suresh Gopi, Upen Patel and many others form the star cast of the film.

Arnold roped in for Ai

Last week Indiaglitz reported that Aascar Ravichandran the producer of director Shankar's upcoming magnum opus Ai that has Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead roles is planning a grand audio launch for the film. He is also trying to rope in an international celebrity to take part as the chief guest to release the album composed by Academy award winner A.R.Rahman.

Now the latest buzz is Ravichandran has managed to get the nod of Hollywood Superstar and former Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger to grace the audio launch.

It is worth recalling that Ravichandran made Jackie Chan to take part in the audio launch of Kamala Haasan starrer Dasavatharam that released in 2008. Arnold is presumed to be opted for the audio launch of Ai for two reasons. The Hollywood actor is popular among Tamil audience for his films like Terminator and True Lies. Secondly Arnold is as popular as a body builder as he is an actor. Since Ai is supposedly based on modeling and body-building, he will be the right choice to be associated with the film.

The participation of Arnold Schwarzenegger in Ai audio launch is yet to be confirmed officially.

Awesome 'Ai' is getting ready

Shankar’s big budget Vikram extravaganza Ai, produced by Aascar Ravichandran is now in post-production stage. The entire dubbing work of the film is over. What remains is some patchwork to be shot.

Ai stars Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead roles along with Suresh Gopi, Santhanam, Ramkumar Ganesan and Upen Patel in supporting roles. The film has music by AR Rahman and camera by PC Sriram.

Aascar Ravichandran who saw some rushes of the film is overjoyed with what he saw. He showed a sneak 90 –second producer’s rough cut trailer and a song from the film exclusively to sify.com. The visuals are mind blowing and extraordinary, and can be placed with the best in the world.

We cannot elaborate further on the trailer or the song as the film is still in post-production stage. Ravichandran is planning to hold a very big audio launch and first look of the film, late May early June depending on the availability of an international celebrity.

The mega -big budget (only after film is ready for release wills the budget be known) extravaganza will be released in 16 world languages including Chinese. Remember 40% of Ai has been shot in never seen before locations in China.

One thing is certain Ai is one of the biggest ever movies being made in India. It will be released worldwide in multiple languages, including Chinese.

Vijay Milton directs Vikram for A.R. Murugadoss

Director Vijay Milton of Goli Soda fame confirmed his next film with Chiyaan Vikram

It's Confirmed ! Cinematographer turned filmmaker Vijay Milton who got rave reviews for his recent block-buster, Goli Soda, will be joining hands with National Award winning actor, Chiyaan Vikram for his next film.

Apparently, Milton met Vikram at his residence and narrated the script to him a month ago and he loved it. Top director A.R Murugadoss will be producing it under his home banner, Fox Star Studios.

On an earlier occasion, Milton had gone on record, saying that he would be directing a film under Murugadoss' banner. Close sources reveal that Chiyaan had signed on the dotted line and was happy to be part of an ARM flick. Vikram is in the final leg of Ai, the magnum opus directed by Shankar on which he has been tirelessly working for the last two years.

Reports suggest that the new movie has been titled Idam Maari Irangiyavan. However, when Vijay Milton was contacted he denied the title saying, "We were in a process of discussing the title, Idam Maari.. and even before we could register it at the Producers council, the name was out. So, I am still to freeze on the new title.'' Though the film will going on the floors in June since Vikram has given priority dates, Milton adds that he is yet to complete the formalities of signing. However, he indicates that it is a sort of road travel story.

Vikram, Amy Jackson sizzle in Shankar's Ai | TOI

Shankar's upcoming film Ai, starring Vikram and Amy Jackson, is in the final leg of shooting. Except for a song, the rest of the film has been canned and this final song is going to be shot soon on Amy Jackson in Chennai. Shankar has already begun promoting his film and in a recent interview, he couldn't stop raving about Vikram.

"His passion is inspiring to say the least. He shaved his head, lost lot of weight and did everything he was asked to do. And everytime I tried talking him out of it, he would say that he won't get another film like this in near future," Shankar said. Meanwhile, cinematographer P C Sreeram is extremely impressed with Amy Jackson, if his posts on a social networking site are anything to go by.

Shankar has kept the story under wraps; however, buzz is that a huge chunk of the film is set in China and Vikram will be sporting multiple looks. For Amy Jackson, this is her biggest project till date and the entire team had been working for almost two years on this project. Recently, Shankar revelead some new photographs of Vikram and Amy Jackson from the songs in the film and the onscreen chemistry between the two actors is palpable. A R Rahman has scored the music for the film and it is going to be dubbed in Telugu as Ai.
