Abhimanyu Singh praises Chiyaan Vikram

Abhimanyu Singh praises Vikram, was initially worried about his 'star status'

When you work with Vikram, you give your best. It brought out the best in me," Abhimanyu said in a statement. Abhimanyu was "slightly concerned about Vikram's star status" when he was signed on for the project.

"In contrast, he proved me wrong during our first meet itself. To me, he is the greatest human being with easy going attitude," he added. Directed by SD Vijay Milton, 10 Enradhukulla features Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the female lead.

About the director, Abhimanyu said: "He's full of energy. He breathes his passion into work by simultaneously working on shots even during lunch. He's so quick that I had to adapt to his pace," he added.

In Hindi, Abhimanyu is popular for his work in films Gulaal, Rakht Charitra and I Am.

Having also worked in Tamil films such as "Velayudham" and "Thalaivaa", he says he's touched by the "kindness and support of southern technicians and actors towards him".

Chiyaan Vikram speech at Kappal Audio Launch

Written By Chiyaan Vikram on Sunday, November 23, 2014 | 6:35 PM

Chiyaan Vikram : Please don't ask any questions about the movie I. This is Kappal audio launch. Shankar is my guru. I'm just one fortunate actor who gets to be part of his dream. This movie Kappal is not 'A' or 'U/A' certified, it is "S" certified. A movie certified by Shankar's S pictures. If he likes a movie, the whole world will love it. Congratulations on the audio launch.

'I' Should Be a Success For Vikram: Shankar

"I call him Mr. Steel. I have no words to explain Vikram's dedication. He has been dubbing back-to-back in three languages and is very tired now. Yet, he has turned up dressed well and smiling. He is one of the nicest humans I have known." This is what Shankar had to say about the hero of his upcoming dream.

'I' is scheduled to release on Pongal and in the meanwhile, the director of the film is releasing yet another interesting project - 'Kappal'. At the audio launch of 'Kappal', Shankar elaborated on the celebrities' humility and his hopes on 'I'.

Thanking Vikram, Vijay and AR Rahman, who had all taken part in the function, for their presence, Shankar expressed how humbled he is by their willingness to come to this function, despite their busy schedule. Speaking on 'I', the director said "Vikram has put in tremendous efforts for the film.

I observe him dub and I'm amazed by his dedication; he has to speak in three different voices. Such vast variations during dubbing sessions leaves his throat jammed and incapable to speak after the schedule. Yet, he recoups quickly. He literally holds his throat tightly to dub for the character of 'Kooni'.

I am thankful I have an actor like him as my hero. At least for the sake of Vikram and his dedication, 'I' should be a success."

Ajith suggests Narain for Vikram's film

Written By Chiyaan Vikram on Friday, November 21, 2014 | 8:43 AM

When director Vijay Milton, who is currently shooting 10 Endradhukulla, starring Vikram and Samantha, wanted expert advice on shooting a car-racing scene, he met Formula One racer Narain Karthikeyan for his suggestions. Vijay explains, “We have to shoot a racing scene with Vikram where the car has to drift and slide through the track. We needed some expert advice. Our stunt choreographer, Lee Whitaker, who has earlier worked with Ajith in Arrambam, called Ajith for his suggestion on the scene.

Ajith referred Narain's name saying, `He is my friend. He can help you better than I can'. When we contacted Narain with Ajith's reference, he immediately agreed to meet us. As we were in Coimbatore for the shoot, Narain joined our discussion and gave us a lot of valuable insights. We are planning to shoot the scene with Vikram based on Narain's suggestions.“

The director posted a picture of them online, which led to rumours that Narain is also acting in the film. However, Vijay clarifies, “No, he is not acting in our film, we met him to discuss an action sequence that involves car racing.“

Narain Karthikeyan part of Vikram's Next

Vikram is current shooting for his next project Pathu Enrathukulla in Coimbatore and the team has managed to rope in one of the city's most recognised faces to be part of the project - none other racing champ Narain Karthikeyan!.

But no, the extremely shy sportsman won't be donning the grease paint-instead, he'll be involved in imparting some advise and tips to the crew while the chase sequences are being shot.

Confirming the contribution of the racer to the film, director of Vijay Milton, says, "It's a road movie and has few drifting sequences that need to be shot in a flawless manner. The Stunt Choreographer of the movie Lee Whittaker and Ajith, are good friends as the had worked together in Arrambam- it was Ajith in facet, who suggested Narain's name to him! That's how the ace driver came on board, and Narain was more than happy to give his valuable inputs.

The Chase sequence will be shot at the racing track in Coimbatore after a few days."

A.R Rahman delays Shankar's 'I' release

Written By Chiyaan Vikram on Monday, November 17, 2014 | 10:17 PM

Even as the industry continues to speculate on the release date of Shankar's I, we got a sneak peek of Mersalayitten, a song from the film. Shot predominantly in North Chennai, the song has a joyous Vikram who has managed to get a photo clicked with his love. But what is clearly its USP is the visual effect of objects (from a mobile phone, a TV set and a motorbike to even foam and sprouts!) that Vikram comes across seamlessly morphing into Amy Jackson.

When asked the reason for the delay in the film's release, producer Aascar Ravichandran said AR Rahman was still working on the background score of the film and would complete it in the next few days.

Said Ravichandran, "Rahman has delivered the score for six reels and has to deliver five more reels. But he is taking such a long time mainly because he feels that the film needs an outstanding score to match the visuals on screen. For the past five months, he has been working on the film, both in his studios in Chennai and Los Angeles.? Ravichandran says the Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions of the film will definitely release in December and that December 25 is a likely date.

There is no hurry to release the movie - Vikram

Written By Chiyaan Vikram on Thursday, November 6, 2014 | 8:09 AM

‘I’ could well end up being the number of days ever taken for a movie to release from its inception. There were so many reports stating what could be the reason for ‘I’ delay, and we published that it is because of post-production works and the movie will either release for Christmas or for Pongal, 2015.

Now, Chiyaan Vikram himself has clarified on the same by mentioning, "there is no hurry and they aren't competing with any other film. “The film’s post-production and special-effects are taking longer than expected. It has very complicated effects. Plus, we are dubbing the film in multiple languages. We are working round-the-clock," he said in a day.

It is worth waiting for something special; let’s think that ‘I’ will produce a never seen before magic, on-screen.
