Aishwarya Rai drops from attending IIFA!

It was confirmed by both Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan that they have dropped their plans to attend the IIFA event to be held in Sri Lanka in June due to the protest by Tamil groups. They also added that due to prior commitments at the Cannes Festival and other personal reasons also they are not attending the event. Already it was known that Maniratnam’s ‘Raavanan’ was already out of Cannes premiere.

Earlier, Tamil groups had already told Big B not to attend the event in Sri Lanka which is blamed of worst human rights violence. But, Amitabh Bachchan has yet to decide his participation in IIFA event.
