Deeksha, Vikram hit the beach!
The duo recently shot a fast-paced romantic duet for their Rajapattai in Mahabalipuram,Here’s the latest on Suseenthiran’s Rajapattai, starring Vikram and Deeksha Seth in the lead. A little birdie tells us that the team recently shot a duet number in Mahabalipuram.
A source in the know says, “It’s the first song to be shot for this film and it was shot for five days on the beaches of Mahabalipuram. It’s a fast-paced duet number, for which music and lyrics are by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Yugabarathi respectively. The number, choreographed by Shobi master, features almost 50 back-up dancers along with Vikram and Deeksha.” The filmmaker has worked with Yuvan before in the Karthi-starrer Naan Mahaan Alla.
Deeksha, who debuts in Kollywood with Rajapattai, was said to be having language woes when she signed on the film as she doesn’t know Tamil and could not communicate with the director or understand him. At the beginning of the film, this seemed to be a major irritant for Suseenthiran but it looks like they have ironed out the issue now.
Suseenthiran is currently shooting an important scene in a huge set worth Rs 40 lakhs, erected at the Island Grounds. Almost 70 per cent of the film is over says a source, adding, “Another schedule will begin in the first week of September in Thiruvannamalai and Puducherry.”
Rajapattai, which has Vikram playing the role of a gym instructor, is his first film with Suseenthiran. Earlier, during a press meet for the film, Vikram had said that he was mighty impressed with the filmmaker’s work in
Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai and was looking forward to working with him.
