Zareen Khan recovers, heads to Kollywood

The actress recuperated in time to report to the sets of her debut Tamil flick with Vikram in the lead
The Karikalan unit is heaving a big sigh of relief. There could have been a change in schedule as the heroine of the film — Zareen Khan — was diagnosed with appendicitis and needed medical care, but the actress seems to have recuperated quickly enough to join the team of her debut Kollywood flick.
A source says, “When the makers heard of her operation and the rest required after that, they didn’t know what to do. Everything was ready for her arrival in Chennai, after which they were slotted to start shooting her sequences in the film. Any postponement in the plans would be detrimental to the film as this schedule was important for the film.” But Zareen, thankfully, has put Karikan right up there in her priority list, perhaps even higher than her current Bollywood flick Housefull 2.
The actress, who debuted in Salman Khan’s Veer, is currently in the city and is said to have started working on the film. She said, “I came down to Chennai two days ago and started shooting for Karikalan from yesterday. This schedule will go on until November 25 and I’m looking forward to it. My health is a lot better now and I’m feeling fit.” When we contacted director Kannan, he said, “There is no change in plan for the current schedule of Karikalan. Zareen is in Chennai and will proceed to shoot for her Hindi flick after completing this schedule.”
