We all know that Tamil stars like Vijay, Vikram and Suriya enjoy a huge fans base in Kerala and their straight Tamil films hava a big market there. Interestingly, one can find a number of fans associations in Kerala for movie stars from other film industries.
Vikram, who acted in many Malayalam films at the beginning of his career has a sizeable number of fan clubs in Gods Own Country. Chiyaan also has a track record: most of his earlier films have been hits.
Apparently, it didn't come as a surprise when his next offering, I , the magnum opus directed by Shankar and produced by Aascar Ravichandran, fetched an undisclosed whopping amount for its Kerala release rights.
Global United Media, a new corporate house which has ventured into production, has bought the Kerala rights of "I".
The movie has Amy Jackson playing a supermodel and the romantic interest of Vikram. The songs by AR Rahman already rocking the charts.
