The bollywood top actor Abhishek Bachchan is once again joining hands with ace director Maniratnam and playing a lead role in his forthcoming hindi version ‘Raavan’ after super hit films like ‘Yuva’ and ‘Guru’.
Maniratnam’s ‘Raavan’ has been made with a huge budget of Rs 45 crores and also features Vikram and Aishwarya in the lead. It is scheduled for the release on June 18.
Sharing his experience on working with Maniratnam, Abhishek says “I’ve evolved with Mani. He boosts my confidence as an actor. He understands me and he knows what I am capable of. He enables to shed all my inhibitions.”
On speaking about his co actor Vikram, he says “I have been a huge fan of Vikram.I met with him at the audio release of Boys movie very first time. I have told him that i loved his Dhool movie very much and watched 17 times. When I was in chennai for a film shooting, he had met me at the hotel as a surprise visit and we had spent a great evening together. When Mani told me that he had agreed to act in Raavan, I was excited”
“This is the most challenging film I have ever done in my life. I haven’t done such a physically and emotionally challenging film in my life. And it’s not about going to tough locations or tough scenes. Raavan drains you and you feel so good when you go home at night because you feel that you have done something. Getting a movie like ‘Raavan’ is so rare. You don’t get such a role today.” he further adds
