The much-awaited Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai starrer “Raavan” will hit over 2,200 screens worldwide Friday, says its distributor.
Co-produced by Madras Talkies and Reliance BIG Pictures, who are also distributing the movie, it is releasing simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
The Hindi version, which is titled “Raavan” and also stars Govinda, Nikhil Dwivedi and Tamil superstar Vikram, will release on 1,250 screens in India and in 325 screens overseas in over 35 countries including US, Canada, Britain, UAE, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, France, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The Tamil version is titled “Raavanan” and it will release in 225 screens in India, including in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka apart from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Pune and Baroda with English subtitles.
In the overseas market, the Tamil version will release on 150 screens in countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, the US, Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
The dubbed Telugu version is named “Villian” and it will hit 215 screens in Andhra Pradesh and 25 screens in the US, Australia and New Zealand.
