Deepika rues the fact that her busy schedule doesn't allow her to be in Chennai as often as she used to or she'd like to. "There was a time during my modelling days when I'd be in Chennai quite often. Now, of course, these visits are few and far between.
Chennai is so alive with culture, and I am also partial to south Indian food, which is awesome here. But no matter how infrequent my Chennai trips, it always feels good to be back."
And if Chennai's close to her heart, how long before Kollywood happens? "I've done movies in both Kannada and Telugu, and I'm completely open to doing films in Tamil, but nothing has materialised so far." And who in the industry she'd like to be paired with? "It would be a dream come true for me were I to be in a film with Rajinikanth. I'd also love to work with Vikram and Suriya." When it comes to Bollywood actors, actors on her wish list include John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan, and Salman Khan.
