THREE HEROINES FOR VIKRAM
With Zareen, Mitra and Radhika, Karikalan’s not just all graphics as rumoured Not much is known about this film and there seems to be a lot of mystery around it. So far, people have only seen the posters of the period flick Karikalan ,where Vikram stands tall as a warrior king. But the latest buzz doing the rounds on this film is that 70 per cent of the film is graphics and only the rest involve the human element. The director of the film, L I Kannan, does have a visual effects background and it’s expected that since he has also penned the script, graphics will play a key role. But is it mostly graphics?
When we spoke to one of the producers of Karikalan, S S Vasan, he dismissed these as just rumours. He says, “Definitely there will be graphics but the movie is not completely based on it.” Sources say that one schedule of the flick has been completed in the Thalakonam forests.
Another revelation is that there are three heroines in this period flick. As reported earlier, Zareen Khan is one of the leading ladies. Mitra Kurien, who played Asin’s friend in Kaavalan, has also been roped in for this flick. And the third lady who will be making her Tamil debut is Bollywood’s Radhika Apte who was seen in Raktha Charitra.
