Director Vijay’s Deiva Thiirumagal, starring Vikram, Anushka, Amala Paul and Sara in the lead, has been honoured with two awards at the recently-concluded Osaka Asian Film Festival.
A visibly happy Vijay says, “The film won the Grand Prix Award (for the Best Film of the Festival) and the ABC Award (for the Best Entertaining Award). The film, which was screened twice for the audience, was well received there as well. I couldn’t stay back for the awards ceremony as I had to prepare for the next schedule of my film with Vikram (Thaandavam). However, Vikram was present to receive the award.”
Thaandavam, also starring Anushka and Amy Jackson, has music by G V Prakash.
