Rain plays havoc at 'Thaandavam' climax shoot

Written By Chiyaan Vikram on Monday, June 11, 2012 | 11:00 PM

UTV’s Vikram actioner Thaandavam shoot has been going on in full swing for the last few weeks in and around London. The 65 day schedule in London, believed to be one of the longest shoots abroad for a Tamil movie is coming to an end by June 15.

The full cast and crew of the AL Vijay directed film wasworking in a stream lined manner to get the film nearer to completion. The star cast of Vikram, Santhanam, Amy, Nasser, Lakshmi Rai and producer Dhananjayan was in London for the climax shoot.

But it looks like the famous British fickle weather played spoil sport. The last three days it has been raining heavily in and around London. UTV’s well-planned moves to complete the film have run into trouble.

Producer G Dhananjayan tweeted: “Today we planned for a big scene in a huge government building with lot of local junior artistes. But heavy rains forced us to abandon it. We are losing heavily. We have another five days to go to complete the London portion. We are looking forward to a rain free day tomorrow to complete the planned scenes. The crew is going through sleepless nights to complete on time and within the budget.”
