It's common knowledge that renowned filmmaker Shankar and grandeur are inseparable.

His new movie I with Vikram in an Aascar Ravichandran production is no exception. Though it was touted to be a exception. Though it was touted to be political satire, a close source from Aascar Films rules out the rumour saying instead it is a high-action commercial entertainer in the typi cal `Shankar' style.

Aascar Ravi has roped in the Aascar Ravi has roped in the best cast and crew as far as I is concerned. While Vikram and Samantha are the lead pair, Santhanam will provide comic relief. A.R. Rahman is responsible for the soundtrack and P.C. Sreeram will man the camera. A major chunk of movie is being shot in China and the direc tor has already gone has already gone ocation hunting to the `Land of the Sleeping Giant.'

The buzz is that this will be Shankar's most expensive film, made taggering budget of ` on a staggering budget of `140 crores. This surpasses even the Rajini star rer Endhiran, which was said to be made at `132 crores.

Apparently, the graphics work alone amounts to a whopping `35 crores. Considering the fact that all big names have been brought on board, their remuneration works out to `37 crores. Further, the CG work and works out to `37 crores. Further, the CG work and production costs for the Chinese segment are estimated at `40 crores. And if you include the costs for the rest of the shoot spanning over 120 days (Shankar is not one to compromise on quality), it certainly looks like it will be the most expensive films made today!
