Chiyaan Vikram saw Mohanlal’s critically acclaimed blockbuster Malayalam film Drishyam, on New Year day at PVR in Chennai.
This Jeethu Joseph family entertainer is turning out to be the biggest Malayalam blockbuster of all times and perhaps the hottest film in remake circuit.
Those close to Vikram say he loved Drishyam and was emotionally moved by the film. The buzz is that he has been approached by Suresh Balajee who holds the Tamil remake rights of the film.
Now will Vikram give priority dates to do Drishyam in Tamil ? And will he play the father of a 18-year-old girl? At the moment the star is doing Shankar’s AI, which is in the last stages of production.
He has also agreed to do two other films, both mass commercial potboilers for Hari and another with Dharani, which are prior commitments.
Now, if Vikram give dates for Drishyam remake, others who are waiting for him for months will be unhappy. But the final call is with the versatile actor who is definitely the apt choice in Tamil cinema today to do the role memorable by Mohanlal. Watch this space
