Vijay Milton, the cinematographer turned filmmaker who turned in one of the biggest hits last year, Goli Soda, is all set with his next film Patthu Endrathukulla, The movie which has Vikram and Samantha playing the leads,came to the director quite by chance "Vikram sir watched Goli Soda along with his family and was struck by the the way the audience was reacting to each and every scene in the film. He called me the same night and asked if I had a script for him. For a moment, I couldn't react. When I said I did, he asked me to come to his house at Besant Nagar immediately and listened to my script for four hours, until midnight," Milton Recounts.
Vikram plays a truck driver in PE, a taut thriller with universal appeal. According to him the film isn't a cliched masala commercial film. "Being cast as truck driver doen not mean he will appear lungi clad or in soiled clothes, In fact, Vikram sir looks as fresh as he did in his Sethu days." says Milton.
The Lead actors of Goli Soda namely, Kishore, Sree Ram, Pandi, Murugesh, Seetha and Chandini will make surprise appearances in Patthu Endrathukkulla in different scenes. Jackie Shroff has been roped into play a Hindi-Speaking Transport dada. Pasupathy,Abhimanyu Singh and Ramadoss of Mundasupatti fame have also been brought on board to play crucial characters.
